About Asters Eyewear

Our founder is a Mexican-American designer who grew up between New York City and the Texas–Mexico border. An avid runner, she named the brand after a flower she often passed on her running path along the West Side Highway.

A late-blooming perennial, asters provide food for pollinators – like bees, butterflies, and small birds – during the cooler months when other food sources are scarce.

Nuestra fundadora es una diseñadora méxico-americana que creció entre Nueva York y la frontera entre Texas y México. Corredora apasionada, nombró la marca en honor a una flor que veía con frecuencia durante su ruta por el West Side Highway.

Las asters alimentan a polinizadores como abejas, mariposas y aves pequeñas durante los meses fríos, cuando el alimento escasea.
